You can place an order via mail by following the instructions below. You can calculate your total by going through the normal order placement process on the website until you get to the credit card number submission page. Your subtotal plus the shipping amount will be posted there. Payment can be mailed to: Qhemet Biologics 10006 Cross Creek Blvd. #439 Tampa, Florida 33647 Be sure to include a list of the products you want and review the Terms & Conditions before proceeding. It may take up to 4 weeks to process a mail-in order. Always retain your money order receipt so that you can redeem its value in case it is lost or stolen. Q: What is the shelf life of your products? A: Eight months to one year. Shelf life can be shortened or lengthened depending on the storage conditions. Q: Why isn't my jar full? A: The jars used for the 8 oz. products have a 10 oz. capacity so there will be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of space between the product and the jar rim. Jars will occasionally be overfilled as the product is poured by hand so some will actually contain 9-10 oz. but 8 oz. should be the expected amount. Q: What is the difference between natural and vegan? A: Vegan simply means that a product contains no animal or animal by-products. Honey and beeswax for example, are considered animal by-products. Q: Why is this product lighter/darker than the last one I received? A: Artificial dyes, colorants or color masking agents are not used in our products. The products obtain their tint and color from the natural herbs and oils used. The only way to achieve perfect color consistency from batch to batch would be to use artificial dyes which are what commercial brands contain and why every bottle of Suave, for example, is the same exact color. Q: Why did my jars come with white lids when the jars pictured on your site have brown lids? A: Since the brown lids are a special order item, we occassionally experience delays with the manufacturer. When this happens, we will use white lids until the brown lids come in. Q: Why is this product slightly thinner/thicker than the last one I received? A: QB products are made fresh using natural oils and thickeners so slight differences in texture from batch to batch will occur. This does not affect performance. A thinner batch will thicken over time as is the nature of certain emulsion systems. Q: Are your products available in salons or stores? A: Yes, for a listing, please click here. Because our production capacity is limited, we are unable to supply more than 3-4 stores or salons. Q. Why are some products discontinued? A. 1. The necessary supplies have been discontinued by the manufacturer or reseller and a similarly priced replacement of equal quality cannot be found or does not meet storage requirements. 2. It's no longer feasable to manufacture at existing retail rates due to increases in supplier wholesale rates and/or fuel/shipping costs. Q: Do you ship to Europe? A: Unfortunately no but select products are available through other vendors. If you would like to place an order but live outside of North America, please visit: Mariposa Import. Q: What is MSM sulfur and why is it in your products? A: Qhemet Biologics is proud to be the first and original product line for highly textured hair to contain active MSM sulfur! Hair sulfur levels are susceptible to external influences, particularly from hair chemical straighteners which significantly lower sulfur content. Sulfur deficient hair is slow growing, dry and brittle. The use of Qhemet Biologics hair products, which contain active, bioavailable MSM sulfur, restore sulfur levels at the bulb for absorption by cystein and methionine, two of the sulfur bearing amino acids in hair that are responsible for hair growth, tensile strength and texture. The molecular structure of MSM sulfur is small enough to penetrate the dermal layers of the scalp. Once sulfur is restored at the hair formation level, the emerging new growth is softer, stronger and richer in color. Many users of Qhemet Biologics products notice a marked improvement in the overall health, softness and growth rate of their hair. Kinky, coily and curly hair is restored to its natural, healthy state. Q: Do your products contain parabens? A: Prior to December 2005, the water based products contained a paraben preservative. However, the paraben preservative was phased out of all products except the Honeybush Gel. The preservative used now is fairly new to the market. It is a mild, food grade broad spectrum preservative developed specifically for conscientous formulators looking for a formaldehyde, isothiazolone and paraben-free alternative. Below is a brief note regarding the importance of using safe and effective preservatives in cosmetic products. Products containing water in addition to oil, herbs and honey provide a vigorous and potent media for microbial growth. Microbial contamination can cause severe skin and eye infections, rashes and other skin problems. Preservatives must not only keep a product odor and germ free at room temperature but also protect it in more challenging environments such as partially opened containers in humid bathrooms and against end-user contamination which occurs when consumers introduce organisms into a product via wet and/or soiled hands. Cosmetics must be preserved against microbial and fungal growth. This improves the shelf life and more importantly protects the customer from potential injury. Preservatives are fundamental to ensuring the freshness and quality of any cosmetic product and protecting the health of the consumer. The FDA does not expect cosmetic products to be absolutely sterile, but they must be free from pathogens. All anhydrous (water-free) Qhemet Biologics and Sedge & Bee Collection products have been naturally stabilized using Vitamin E. |
