Qhemet Biologics Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee is ideal for high porosity, 4C – 3C hair. It smooths cuticles and improves combability to restore manageability, softness and elasticity to dry, tangled hair.
To detangle: Apply to damp or dry 4C or 4B hair. Begin by dividing hair into 4-8 manageable sections, then apply a moderate amount to the entire length of one section at a time and work through with fingers. Allow to penetrate for 30 seconds. Use a wide toothed comb and begin combing from end to root to detangle.
Pre-poo: Apply to braids and twists before take down for quicker and easier unravelling and to reduce breakage.
For use as a conditioner: Rub a small to medium amount between palms and work through wet, damp or dry hair. Leave in.
This product has an initial consistency of a soft cream but will thicken into a stiff solid cream over time. It’s color may vary from white to beige based on the color variations typical in virgin Cocoa Butter. This is not indicative of a formula change and will not affect performance. Virgin Cocoa Butter naturally smells like chocolate.

I mainly use the burdock root cream for moisture, but this product is perfect to detangle if I'm doing a style refresh or pre-shampooing.
It detangles well and I find the thick cream easier to apply to dense type 4 hair than mist/spray detanglers.
Heavenly, completely melts tangles, and conditions hair.

This Cocoa Detangling Ghee is out of site. Oh my gosh !! 10/25/24 I decided to condition in it. Note- for years I’ve always used honey & aloe juice in a conditioner. CDG is so creamy and rich. My hair absolutely loves this mixture. I ‘ve used a lot of products and nothing has come close. I decided to share pics. CDG, my honey & aloe juice mixed with CDG , applied on hair . Leave on for 1 hour and rinse Seal in Arethiopika Butter
My new best friend. I use the Cocoa Detangling Ghee Condtion as a Conditioner. I use 2 tbsps of Ghee , honey -1/2 tsp and aloe juice 1 tbsp , stir to make creamy , heat and apply , leave on for 1 hour, rinse. The ABSOLUTE BOMB !!! I seal in the Aethiopika Butter . My hair is moisturized . I just started using both . I am trying to go 2 -3 weeks without washing. I do like QB products.
The Cocoa ghee is very rich in texture. Perfect for my high porosity hair. It leaves a world of waves .
